Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 21, 2026
This policy explains what personal data FitState ("we," "us") collects through fitstate.app, why we collect it, and what choices you have. It covers our website and pre-launch waitlist. When the FitState app launches, we'll publish an updated policy that covers the app.
For anything related to your personal data, email privacy@fitstate.app. For general questions, email contact@fitstate.app.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address and the date you signed up. When you contact us through our contact form or by email, we collect the details you include, such as your name, email address, and message. When you visit the website, our hosting provider processes technical data, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the site and keep it secure. Our website analytics are anonymous: they count visits without identifying you and without using cookies.
We don't collect any health or fitness data through the website.
Why we use it
We use your waitlist email to send you updates about the launch and to deliver the free month of Premium offered to waitlist members. We rely on your consent, which you give by signing up and can withdraw at any time. We use the messages you send us to reply to you, based on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. We use technical data to run and secure the website, also based on our legitimate interests.
We don't sell your personal data, and we don't use it for automated decision-making.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers that process data on our behalf: Framer, which hosts our website and forms and provides anonymous analytics; Google, which stores waitlist signups in Google Sheets and receives emails sent to our addresses through Gmail; and Cloudflare, which manages our domain and routes emails sent to our @fitstate.app addresses. These providers may only use your data to provide their services to us. Some of them are based in, or process data in, the United States; when data leaves the UK or European Economic Area, it's protected by safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
We advertise on social media platforms. We don't currently use their tracking tools on our website or share your email address with them. If that changes, we'll update this policy and ask for your consent where required.
We may also disclose personal data if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist emails until the app launches and for up to 12 months afterward, or until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, whichever comes first. If you create a FitState account after launch, the app's privacy policy applies from then on. We keep messages for as long as we need to respond, and no longer than 12 months after our last exchange.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive a copy in a portable format. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Every email we send will include a way to unsubscribe, and you can always ask us to remove you by emailing privacy@fitstate.app. We'll respond to requests within one month.
You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Cookies
We don't use cookies for advertising or tracking, and our website analytics are cookie-free. If that changes, we'll update this policy and ask for your consent where required.
Children
Our website and waitlist aren't intended for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we'll delete their information.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including limiting who can access it. No method of storing or sending data online is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
